Goblin Valley 2016

Goblin Valley 2016. This trip is an important one in troop 72 because of its amazing hikes and the legendary capture the flag game in the goblin valley hoodoos. The hike we did was 10 miles long in San Rafeals Swell, Crack canyon.

klondike 2016

Klondike 2016. Klondike is an activity in which the boys build and spend the night in a snow cave.  We had fun doing snow balls fights, roasting marshmallows, and sitting by the fire.

Lake Cuberant Backpacking Trip!

Thanks to everyone who attended our backpacking trip this weekend! To sum it up, here are a few photos.

Our hikers at the trailhead.

Avoiding a fallen tree to get to the campsite.

The beautiful view of the Uintahs, and that hill was steep!

Setting up our campsite.

Great catch, Bryce!

Our troop campfire, including skits and a few games of Werewolf.

Time for breakfast!

Learning knots for the Tenderfoot rank.

Our skilled grandpa teaches our young scouts how to tie knots.

Cuberant Lake.

On the trail again.

Baldy (left), and Reid's Peak (Right). Reminds me of Camp Steiner.

Hiking out in the autumn leaves.

Little Sahara Campout

Hello again everyone!

This past weekend, we had a campout in the Little Sahara Recreational Area. It was really fun, because we invented a new sport called "Dune Jumping"

It's sort of like the long jump, but off a cliff onto an angled sand dune.

We also played Redneck Shirtless Barefoot Desert Capture-the-Flag (RSBDCTF). That was true fun, because there is no disguise like tan pants and no shirt against the sand at night.

We did get GoPro footage of the dune-jumping, and my good friend Jacob is getting an edit done, and you will be able to view it shortly after it is finished. I will also find a good video of my own uploaded for your viewing pleasure.
